Family issue desperate appeal to find missing Emma Faulds who vanished three days ago

The family of a woman missing from Kilmarnock for more than three days have made a desperate appeal for her to return home.

Emma Faulds was last in touch with her pals and relatives on Sunday, April 28.

Her distraught loved ones have taken to social media to spread the word about her disappearance, which is completely "out of character".

Leader of Glasgow's Conservative group stands down after 12 years

Sister Miriam said: "Her phone is off and the last contact she had with her family or friends was on Sunday.

"This is extremely out of character. If anyone has seen or heard from her please contact myself, my family or the police."

Emma was last seen in Kilmarnock and her family say they have "no reason to believe she’s not still in the area".

An informal search of the town was carried out by concerned locals, who met outside Emma's flat in Fullerton street last night (Wednesday).

A Facebook post appealing for help to find Emma, uploaded by Miriam, has been shared more than 5,000 times.

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
