Family 'increasingly concerned' for missing girl, 13, who may have travelled to Ayrshire

The family of a missing girl are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare after she vanished yesterday.

Kerys Lynch vanished from Hyndford area in Lanark last night.

The 13-year-old was last seen about 5.15pm at the A70 near to Hyndford Road and her current whereabouts are unknown with her friends and family now becoming increasingly concerned for her.

Cops have said that Kerys is known to frequent Lanark, Irvine and other Ayrshire surrounding towns.

Kerys is described as being white female, slim/medium build, she has died red/black hair with blonde roots. She was last seen wearing a Khaki green over sized T-shirt and light grey leggings.

Police Sergeant Durie from Lanark police station said: "Kerys has been missing for a number of hours now. We have a number of police resources out looking for her and I am now looking for the assistance from the public."
