Family in frantic search for missing man last seen leaving Travelodge near Glasgow Quay

The family of a man who has been missing for nearly a week have issued a frantic plea for his return.

Michael Fitzpatrick was last seen leaving the Travelodge at Glasgow Quay around 10pm on Wednesday (December 9).

The 49-year-old was picked up on CCTV heading along Paisley Road West shortly after.

He hasn't been seen since and hasn't picked up his medication since the day of his disappearance.

Michael usually visits his mum every day but hasn't been in contact with her since Wednesday.

He's been described as 6ft tall, of slim build and has a scar on the left side of his face.

He has a distinctive walk after breaking both of his ankles in a previous accident.

On the day of his disappearance, he was believed to be wearing a Christmas jumper, black Berghaus jacket and trainers.

Anyone with information on Michael's whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
