In memory of Raymond Harry Brown - family and friends raised £2262.10 by holding a prize bingo event at The Legion in Bathgate.
Marie Curie supported Raymond and his family at home and as a thank you for the support given, a small committee was set up to organise and seek donations.
Family friend, Helen, first proposed this event at a local Toastmasters group and recruited one member from Livingston Speakers and one from Linlithgow speakers as well as daughter Janine to join the High Performance Leadership committee. This committee hoped to raise £1000.
The prizes were donated by local groups and organisations as well as family friends and work colleagues. With lots of volunteers on the day to ensure event ran smoothly.
Raymond’s wife Wilma found the generosity overwhelming as her employer Sky is going to match fund the amount raised.
Wilma thanked everyone who helped make the day a success.
