Family hell as fearful 20-strong teen gang attack home of Dubliners with newborn NINE times

A horrible teen gang with as many as 20 members have been attacking the home of a north Dublin family as locals desperately plea to make it stop.

The family living in Rush, who have a one-year-old, have been "terrorised" on a regular basis since November with nine standout occasions in their ongoing living hell.

Young gang members have thrown various objects at the house - including a fence steak which was jammed into the back door - as well as the brutes shouting obscurities towards the family as they try to get their infant to sleep.

The tormenting teens continue to come back again and again despite the fact that Gardai are investigating the vile behaviour.

A public information Garda message was shared to locals in the area last night.

It said: "We wish to highlight a major problem we have been having with antisocial behaviour over the last two months. We have had groups of youths/teenagers terrorising a young family living in a house along with numerous acts of vandalism.

"It is disheartening to know that a small minority, whom we know are from Rush, think it appropriate to act in this manner and to continue terrorising a young family during these dark nights.

"We are appealing to the local community to help us prevent further antisocial behaviour by calling 999 to report any suspicious activity which involves youths/teenagers trespassing.

"Your help in this matter is very much appreciated."

A source close to the family told Dublin Live that there was no history attached to these attacks and that they were "completely unprovoked".

They said: "Recently they attacked the house for the ninth instance - and the fourth reported to gardaí.

"It started at the end of November, completely for no reason other than it's a secluded home and an easy target.

"They were asked to move on and told a child was in bed but it has continued constantly. Literally no other reason attached to it. Its so sad, so scary and so mean. My heart is broke for the family."

They continued: "The gang have been banging on the child's windows as the newborn tries to sleep and making animal noises to scare the family.

"The gardai have been given details of some members of this group and are currently investigating. But any further information from the community would be of great assistance too."
