Teen who died in crash "lived life on his terms"

The family of a man who was killed in a motorbike crash said his death has left "a gaping hole in all our lives”.

Harry Abbey was riding his motorbike in Warrington on Wednesday, July 21, when he was involved in a crash with a Ford Fiesta and a combine harvester.

The 19-year-old died at the scene.

The crash happened at the junction of Hollins Lane and Watery Lane in Winwick, just before midday.

In a touching tribute to Harry, his family described him as a much-loved son, brother and friend, who "lived life on his terms".

They said in a statement: “Harry Abbey, aged 19, died on Wednesday 21 July following a fatal road traffic accident.

“He lived at home with his Mum, his Dad, and his brother.

“He was so loved and will be truly missed by all his family and friends.

“Harry lived life on his terms, he made friends easily and was true and supportive to each and every one of them.

“His untimely death leaves a gaping hole in all our lives.”

Officers want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have captured relevant dashcam footage.
