'A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS'
Rated R for crude sexual content and language throughout, and some drug use.
What it's about: The Bad Moms contend with their own bad moms _ at Christmas!
The kid attractor factor: Not much _ this is aiming squarely for the adult female demographic.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Have a hard but productive talk with someone before you ruin Christmas over bad feelings. Try to understand and accept people for who they are.
Violence: Some dodgeball mayhem and destruction of Christmas decorations.
Language: Strong language throughout _ from the mouths of babes, too.
Sexuality: Very crude sexuality including a spa and male anatomy _ that's about all that can be described here _ and some male nudity (not graphic). Repeated sequences with male strippers, a child talking about parental sex, kissing, making out, references to sex, etc.
Drugs: The moms smoke pot repeatedly.
Parents advisory: Way, way too sexual and crude for any kids. Moms only, please.
'THOR: RAGNAROK'
Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and brief suggestive material.
What it's about: The third Thor film follows the god of thunder as he fights his way out of a gladiator coliseum to try and save his civilization from certain apocalypse.
The kid attractor factor: The Marvel comics superhero will draw kid and teen audiences looking for laughs and effects-driven action and adventure.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Look within yourself to find the greatest strength.
Violence: Some action violence, fighting, explosions, swords, hand-to-hand combat, swords, guns, giant lava monster destruction. All bloodless.
Language: One or two instances of strong language.
Sexuality: A glimpse of the Incredible Hulk's backside, and some flirting with Valkyrie.
Drugs: Drinking.
Parents advisory: Fine for older kids, but too scary and intense for little ones.
