Family guide to new movie releases

'FROZEN II'

Rated PG for action/peril and some thematic elements.

What it's about: The highly anticipated follow-up to the 2013 Disney animated smash hit. Elsa and Anna are back with more power ballads.

The kid attractor factor: It's the sequel to "Frozen" ...

Good lessons/bad lessons: Learn to accept help on the toughest of your journeys.

Violence: Some action sequences.

Language: None.

Sex: None.

Drugs: None.

Parents' advisory: While "Frozen II" deals with adult themes like personality responsibility, grief, loss, love and marriage, it's a fun and beautiful animated feature for the whole family.

'A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD'

Rated PG for some strong thematic material, a brief fight, and some mild language.

What it's about: A jaded magazine writer is sent to profile the iconic Fred Rogers, who befriends him and changes his life.

The kid attractor factor: This is an adult drama, but Rogers always believed kids can handle the tough parts of life too.

Good lessons/bad lessons: You don't have to hold onto hate on behalf of someone else's suffering. It doesn't help.

Violence: A wedding brawl.

Language: Some mild swearing.

Sex: None.

Drugs: None.

Parents' advisory: While littler kids will not be able to sustain interest, this is a beautiful film about empathy and learning to change that could be a great lesson for younger audiences.
