'THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH'
Rated R for violence.
What it’s about: Joel Coen's spare, visually stunning adaptation of the classic Shakespeare play, with Denzel Washington in the titular role.
The kid attractor factor: Not much — this is more for adults, unless you have a Shakespeare-loving teen.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Be careful what you wish for (or what the witches prophesy).
Violence: This is a story about war, political assassinations and murder. There's gory violence, the murder of children, etc. It's violent.
Language: None
Sex: None
Drugs: None
Parents’ advisory: This classic piece of Shakespeare probably won't appeal to young kids, but could be illuminating for teens who are willing to engage with the material.
