'BLOODSHOT'
Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence, some suggestive material and language.
What it's about: A special ops soldier is reanimated with machinery to enhance his strength and recovery, but he's hell-bent on revenge.
The kid attractor factor: Teens might be drawn to the sci-fi action.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Don't always listen to what other people say is real. Discover your own reality and who you are.
Violence: Some extreme violence, including shooting, torture, explosions, fighting, etc. Although much of it is CGI-enhanced, it's pretty shocking that this level of violence only earned a PG-13 rating.
Language: Some swearing.
Sex: A suggestive scene of intimacy and partial nudity.
Drugs: None.
Parents' advisory: This one is a bit mature, thematically and in terms of violence _ OK for teens only.
'THE HUNT'
Rated R for strong bloody violence, and language throughout.
What it's about: A group of Americans finds themselves being hunted by a mysterious group.
The kid attractor factor: None.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Very few ... always stand up for yourself?
Violence: Extreme and shocking bloody images, violence and gore.
Language: Swearing throughout.
Sex: None.
Drugs: None.
Parents' advisory: This film is cartoonishly violent and gory, but in a realistic way. Not for the faint of heart, and only for mature teens and up.
