'WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING'

What it’s about: A young woman who grows up abandoned in a Carolina marsh faces a murder charge after a former lover is found dead.

The kid attractor factor: This is more of an adult melodrama, not much appeal for kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Stay true to yourself, nature always finds ways to protect itself.

Violence: A few fistfights, some domestic abuse and punches/slaps, and a brutal attempted rape.

What it’s about: A London cleaning woman saves up her money to go to Paris with the intention of buying a haute couture Christian Dior dress

The kid attractor factor: This is more for adults but kids might enjoy the pleasant fashion fantasy as well.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Speak up for what's right and know what you deserve.

Violence: None

Language: Some slang and stronger language.

Sex: A cheeky nightclub can-can routine (no nudity).

Drugs: Smoking and drinking.

Parents’ advisory: A fun film that can delight the whole family, if kids are interested.
