What it's about: The origin story of everyone's favorite space outlaw, Han Solo.
The kid attractor factor: "Star Wars" fans will go for "Solo," and the light action-adventure genre will draw kids and teens.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Never trust anyone in this world. Except Chewie.
Violence: A lot of wild action, heists, high-speed chases, fighting, killing, blasting, etc.
Language: No strong language.
Sexuality: Some passionate kissing.
Drugs: Drinking.
Parents advisory: This movie will be too action-packed and scary for most younger kids. OK for older kids and teens.
'MARY SHELLEY'
Rated PG-13 for sexuality and thematic elements including substance abuse.
What it's about: A period biopic about the teen girl author of "Frankenstein."
The kid attractor factor: Teen girls may be drawn to the romantic, Gothic genre.
Good lessons/bad lessons: The things you go through teach you how to fight and make you who you are.
Violence: The death of an infant, and some wild nights, but no real violence.
Language: None.
Sexuality: Some sex scenes, no nudity, and reference to sexual relationships, out of wedlock children, scandal, etc.
Drugs: Heavy alcohol abuse.
Parents advisory: This is a wild but empowering tale about a young woman who wrote an indelible novel 200 years ago, one that persists to this day, and the adversity she went through that shaped her perspective. Would be an interesting film for teen girls to learn more about Mary Shelley.
