'MARRY ME'

Rated PG-13 for some language and suggestive material.

What it’s about: A pop superstar, planning a public wedding, spontaneously marries a milquetoast math teacher when she discovers her fiance's infidelity.

The kid attractor factor: Star Jennifer Lopez may draw a younger crowd.

Good lessons/bad lessons: It's an admirable thing to believe in love, but if you want things to be different, do something different.

Violence: None

Language: Some adult language/swearing

Sex: References to sex but nothing graphic

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: A rather chaste rom-com that deals with adult matters of the heart. Okay for older kids and teens.

'DEATH ON THE NILE'

Rated PG-13 for violence, some bloody images, and sexual material.

What it’s about: Belgian detective Hercule Poirot tackles a murder case aboard an Egyptian riverboat.

The kid attractor factor: Teens might be up for the retro murder mystery and big stars.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Things are usually too good to be true.

Violence: A war scene with explosions and grievous wounds, shooting, including an injury and several shooting deaths, dead bodies, knife attacks and blood spatter.

Language: None

Sex: Frank references to sex

Drugs: Just champagne (enough to fill the Nile), and an illicit drugging of a drink.

Parents’ advisory: It's an adult murder mystery that deals with sex, adult themes and violence, but it's okay for older kids and teens who might be intrigued.
