"BLADE RUNNER 2049"

Rated R for violence, some sexuality, nudity and language.

What it's about: The sequel to Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi classic follows a detective as he hunts down replicants in a dystopian future.

The kid attractor factor: Star Ryan Gosling and the sci-fi epic genre.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Everything has the possibility for a soul, and a soul means a right to autonomy, freedom and individuality.

Violence: Several brutal fist fights, stabbing, drowning, drone warfare and other violence.

Language: Several instances of strong language/swearing.

Sexuality: Graphic female nudity throughout, one instance of graphic male nudity. The presence of sex workers. One sex scene though not graphic.

Drugs: Drinking

Parents advisory: This sci-fi film is OK for teens but too sexual and violent for kids.
