Family guide to new movie releases

'JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM'

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of science-fiction violence and peril.

What it's about: Post-"Jurassic World" fallout, Claire and Owen try to figure out a way to save dinosaurs from extinction and encounter a shady dino black market along the way.

The kid attractor factor: The dino spectacle and action-adventure genre will draw older kids and teens.

Good lessons/bad lessons: If something is alive, it deserves to be free.

Violence: Lots of action violence, escaping volcanos and carnivorous predators, including the murderous Indoraptor. Some blood and gore, shooting, stabbing, etc.

Language: None.

Sexuality: A kiss.

Drugs: None.

Parents advisory: Too scary for little kids, but OK for older kids and teens.

'BOUNDARIES'

Rated R for drug material, language, some sexual references and nude sketches.

What it's about: A mother and son take a road trip with her estranged father.

The kid attractor factor: Not much _ this is an indie dramedy skewing toward an older audience.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Open your heart to your loved ones, and see what happens.

Violence: None.

Language: Some swearing and strong language.

Sexuality: Graphic nude sketches done by the teenage son. An implied sex scene.

Drugs: Massive marijuana deals conducted out of the trunk of the car, as well as smoking on screen.

Parents advisory: Kids will likely not be interested in this adult dramedy, but it's OK for teens and older, mature kids.
