What it's about: A family in Santa Cruz, Calif., experiences a terrifying home invasion when a group that looks exactly like them arrives on their doorstep.

The kid attractor factor: This is a horror movie _ teens might be interested, but likely not kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: There is more to this world than we could possibly know _ conspiracy theorists might be onto something.

Violence: Some bloody killings with scissors and rough fighting.

Parents advisory: This film is definitely too scary for kids _ appropriate for teens only.

'HOTEL MUMBAI'

Rated R for disturbing violence throughout, bloody images and language.

What it's about: A recounting of the 2008 shooting and terrorist attack that gripped Mumbai for days.

The kid attractor factor: This is an intense and visceral thriller aimed at adults _ kids won't be interested.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Stick together, and be brave.

Violence: Some really gruesome and graphic shootings.

Language: Some swearing and strong language.

Sexuality: Some references to sex workers.

Drugs: None.

Parents advisory: This is too violent and scary for kids _ adults only for this one.
