What it's about: The history of the Transformers on Earth is revealed as they fight to protect the future of the planet.
The kid attractor factor: The spectacle and special effects, giant robots crashing into each other over and over.
Good lessons/bad lessons: It takes teamwork and self-sacrifice to save the world.
Violence: Where to begin? The movie is about robots fighting with other robots, the military, humans, space aliens. Lots of intense action, but no real blood or gore.
Language: Some swearing throughout.
Sexuality: Oxford professor Vivian is presented as a sex object throughout. There's flirtation and a kiss between her and Cade (Mark Wahlberg).
Drugs: None
Parents advisory: Fine for older kids accustomed to action/adventure genre. Definitely too violent and scary for younger kids.
