'CHARLIE'S ANGELS'
Rated PG-13 for action/violence, language and some suggestive material.
What it's about: A reboot of the '70s sitcom and early 2000s blockbuster franchise about a trio of fabulously feminine spies.
The kid attractor factor: Teens will be drawn to the action-comedy genre and stars Kristen Stewart and Naomi Scott.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Stronger together, always.
Violence: There are quite a few brutal fight scenes, including murder. Car chases, hand-to-hand combat, shootouts, etc. The action is pretty intense.
Language: Some swearing.
Sex: Sexual innuendo and flirting.
Drugs: None.
Parents' advisory: A fun and empowering female-fronted action flick. Fine for older kids and teens.
'FORD V FERRARI'
Rated PG-13 for some language and peril.
What it's about: The true story of the 1966 Le Mans race, in which Ford brought their best cars to beat Ferrari (and the men who made them).
The kid attractor factor: Some teens might be drawn to the cool retro muscle car vibe, but this is more of an adult drama.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Never lose your individuality or your own choice to larger interests. Be weird and interesting and own your story.
Violence: Some scary crashes and intense racing scenes. Some fisticuffs between friends.
Language: Some swearing.
Sex: None.
Drugs: None.
Parents' advisory: A retro racing flick with '60s style that's fine for older kids and teens, if they're interested.
