'THE BOOK OF LOVE'
Rated PG-13 for thematic content, language and drug material.
What it's about: A grieving husband finds a new purpose helping a teen girl build an ocean raft.
The kid attractor factor: Perhaps star Maisie Williams from "Game of Thrones," but this is an adult-skewing grief drama.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Find a passion and community in life and pursue that to the greatest extent.
Violence: A car accident, a boating accident, dangerous ocean travel
Language: Quite a bit of swearing, though no f-words.
Sexuality: A pregnant wife, a marital kiss, but nothing more than that.
Drugs: A wild night with edible marijuana for lead character Henry and dog Ahab.
Parents advisory: Fine for teens and older kids; the drug scenes and swearing may be too mature for younger kids.
