'JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION'
Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action, some violence and language.
What it’s about: The sixth film in the preeminent dinosaur blockbuster franchise sees the big lizards breach the gates of the park and living alongside humans in the world.
The kid attractor factor: Kids will be drawn to the monster spectacle and action-adventure on screen.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Family is what you make of it, raptors can be trained and never trust a quirky tech mogul.
Violence: Lots of action and animal violence and peril, dangerous situations and a few gnarly dino chomps.
Language: Some strong language and swearing.
Sex: None
Drugs: None
Parents’ advisory: This is a fun summer blockbuster that will appeal to the whole family, but it’s best for older kids who can handle the peril and violence of a true monster movie.

'I’M CHARLIE WALKER'
No MPAA rating
What it’s about: A biopic about a Black trucker in San Francisco who helped clean up the Bay’s largest oil spill in 1971.
The kid attractor factor: Not much, this is more of an adult drama.
Good lessons/bad lessons: When faced with racism, sometimes you have to buck the system.
Violence: None
Language: Swearing and strong language throughout
Sex: Nudity, sex scenes, references to sex and “free love” as well as sex work
Drugs: On screen use of cocaine, discussion of cocaine, drug dealing, hallucinogens, etc.
Parents’ advisory: This '70s biopic doesn’t have much appeal for kids, but the ‘70s sex and drugs are too mature for kids. OK for teens.
