Family guide to new movie releases

'NO TIME TO DIE'

Rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action, some disturbing images, brief strong language and some suggestive material.

What it’s about: Daniel Craig's final Bond movie is another globe-trotting, evil-defying adventure. It's a Bond movie! You know what it is.

The kid attractor factor: Teens might be drawn to it, but likely not kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Violence: Typical Bond-style violence: shooting, fighting, combat, explosions, cars with machine guns in their headlights, that sort of thing. Nothing gory.

Language: Some swearing/strong language.

Sex: Well he's Bond, of course. Some post-coital moments and flirting/suggestive behavior, but no nudity or graphic sex.

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: A 007 romp — okay for teens but probably too mature for kids.

'MASS'

Rated PG-13 for thematic content and brief strong language.

What it’s about: Two sets of parents come together to discuss a tragedy between their sons.

The kid attractor factor: Not much — this is an adult drama.

Good lessons/bad lessons: There is salvation to be found, if you look for it.

Violence: Discussions of violent murder

Language: Brief swearing

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Not appropriate for kids, but okay for teens if they are interested.
