Family guide to new movie releases

THE BYE BYE MAN

Rated PG-13 for terror, horror violence, bloody images, sexual content, thematic elements, partial nudity, some language and teen drinking.

What it's about: A group of college students unleash an evil force in their lives by simply uttering his name.

The kid attractor factor: The horror genre will be a definite attraction for teen audiences.

Good lessons/bad lessons: The only thing to fear is fear itself.

Violence: This is a horror movie, so there is death, violence and lots of it _ stabbings, shootings, hit by a train, and bloody, disturbing images. It's fairly gory for a PG-13 film.

Language: Some swearing, a couple of very strong words.

Sexuality: An intimate romantic relationship between a college couple with cuddling, kissing, bed sharing. Some brief nudity.

Drugs: College kids drinking.

Parents advisory: This is fine for teen audiences but too violent, scary, bloody and sexual for kids.
