'IN THE EARTH'
Rated R for strong violent content, grisly images, and language.
What it’s about: A scientist and ranger set out into the woods during a deadly pandemic, searching for a scientist experimenting with paganism.
The kid attractor factor: Not much — this folk horror drama deals with dark themes. Perhaps some teen audiences.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Don't trust the scary hermit, leave while you can, never take a drink from a stranger
Violence: Some fights and bludgeonings, as well as some very gory and bloody images, including stabbing and amputation.
Language: Some swearing
Sex: None
Drugs: Implied hallucinogens and drugging of victims
Parents’ advisory: It's definitely a horror movie, so proceed with caution. Some teen audiences might enjoy it, if they have a tolerance for gore.

'WE BROKE UP'
No MPAA rating (about a PG-13)
What it’s about: A couple break up right before her sister's wedding and have to spend the weekend pretending they're together.
The kid attractor factor: This is more of an adult romantic dramedy, but some younger audiences may be drawn to it for the humor.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Always tell the truth, even if it's hard.
Violence: Nothing worse than a scavenger hunt/obstacle course.
Language: Some strong language
Sex: One sex scene between the main couple.
Drugs: Drinking as well as marijuana consumption.
Parents’ advisory: A cute rom-dram that might appeal to teens but not younger kids. Fine for teens.
