Violence: Many brutal and gory deaths at the hands of Michael Myers: stranglings, slashings, shootings, burnings, etc.

What it's about: Jonah Hill's directorial debut follows a group of teen boys hanging out at an LA skate shop in the '90s.
The kid attractor factor: This is more of an indie flick, kids might be drawn to the cool skater culture.
Good lessons/bad lessons: You don't always have to take the hardest hits just to prove yourself.
Violence: Some brutal scraps, falls, splats and beatings. A car wreck.
Language: Swearing and strong language throughout.
Sexuality: A sexual scene with young teens. No graphic nudity, but discussion and reference to sex acts.
Drugs: Marijuana and pills, teen drinking.
Parents advisory: Most kids won't be drawn to this film, but it's too mature for younger audiences. Appropriate for teens only.
