Family growing 'increasingly concerned' for man, 31, who disappeared this morning

A search has been launched for a man who disappeared early this morning.

Peter McVey was last seen in the Castlehill area of Dumbarton around 4am on Saturday, April 10.

The 31-year-old's family are growing 'increasingly concerned' for his wellbeing and are urging anyone who knows of his whereabouts to contact the police.

Peter is described as white 5ft 10in tall, with brown hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a navy blue t-shirt, black zipper top, black jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Inspector Fiona Davidson, of Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Division, said: “Enquiries are ongoing but we are now seeking the assistance of the public to help us locate Peter.

“Peter’s family are growing increasingly concerned for his wellbeing. I would ask anyone with information, or who knows of Peter’s whereabouts, to contact police.

“I would also like to appeal to Peter directly to attend at a local police station or to contact one of his friends or family so that we can ensure she is safe and well.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0980 of 10 April.”

UPDATE - Peter has been traced safe and well.
