A family travelled 122 miles for a day at the beach yesterday, in an act of shocking defiance of the lockdown rules.
The coronavirus lockdown is intended to help flatten the curve and help the NHS cope as cases rise, but some people are still ignoring the call to stay at home and save lives.
The group flouted the measures to make the two hour and 20 minute round trip from Bromley, south east London, to Folkestone in Kent.
They were let off with a warning as the council reminded residents 'this is not a public holiday'.
Folkestone and Hythe District Council said in a Facebook post: "This is not a public holiday - it's a global pandemic.

"It's disappointing we've had to issue a large number of warnings today to those who refused to stay at home without justifiable reason.
"One family travelled from as far as Bromley just to visit the beach.
"The spread of Covid-19 risks the health of our community - friends, family, and key workers such as NHS staff.
"It really is simple: #StayHomeSaveLives."

Officers had issued eight warnings by 3pm on Saturday - all to those ignoring the advice to stay inside.
Their information was passed onto police.
In a later Facebook post, the council said: "A big thanks to residents who have followed the central government guidance by staying at home unless absolutely necessary.
"Unfortunately a number of day-trippers from outside the county have been visiting our beauty spots again today. Warnings have been issued to those people.
"This isn't something we thought we would ever say - but please don't come to our district right now.
"We look forward to welcoming you all back soon."
Another 621 people died after contracting coronavirus, taking the total to 4,934 across the UK.
Medical experts and the government have repeatedly warned that social distancing and only making essential journeys remain key to beating the virus and relaxing lockdown laws.
