Family fear for Troon man who vanished after travelling to Glasgow four days ago

A family are growing worried about a missing man who vanished from Troon.

Robert Rennie was last seen leaving his home in Welbeck Crescent around 10.30am on Thursday, July 9.

The 48-year-old was intending on travelling to Glasgow but has not been in contact with loved ones since.

Now concerns are growing for his safety as police launch a manhunt to find him.

Officers believe he boarded a train to Glasgow as his last known sighting was leaving Glasgow Central Station walking in the direction of Hope Street.

Robert is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, dark denim jeans, navy coloured trainers and carrying a brown satchel.

Police Inspector William Campbell, Response Policing at Ayr, added: “Enquires are ongoing to trace Robert to ensure he is safe and well”.

“The last sighting of Robert was around 1.25pm on Thursday the 9th of July 2020 where he was seen leaving Glasgow Central Railway station walking in the direction of Hope Street”.

“If anyone has any information about his whereabouts or if Robert is reading this then please get in touch as soon as possible.

"Anyone who may have seen Robert since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2033 of 11th July 2020. "
