Family fear for missing Scots woman who hasn't been seen in almost a week as police issue appeal

Police are searching for a missing Scottish woman who hasn't been seen in almost a week.

Gemma Bain disappeared from the Auchinleck area of Ayrshire near Cumnock around 8pm on Saturday.

Concerns are growing for the 31-year-old who has not been in contact with family, which they say is unusual.

Gemma is described as 5ft 1 in height, of slim build, has brown hair with light coloured highlights and when last seen she was wearing a red puffer style jacket with a black fir hood, black trousers and black trainers.

Sergeant David Markin, Cumnock Police Station, said: “Gemma was reported missing by her family on Thursday, 10 November, after they hadn’t heard from her for a couple of days which is not like her.

"If you know where she is or have any information that will assist officers in finding her then please contact Cumnock Police Station via 101.

"Quote reference number 1387 of Wednesday, November, 2021, when calling.

“We’d also appeal to Gemma herself to get in touch with police or her family just to let people know she is ok.”
