Family dog mauled to death leaving Scots owners 'devastated' as cops probe incident

A Grangemouth family have been left devastated after their pooch was mauled to death by two other dogs.

Little Fergie was in the garden on Beauly Court in the town yesterday morning, Thursday November, 4, when the attack happened.

His owners have taken to social media to express their heartbreak after losing their beloved Westie.

Posting on Facebook, Sharon Ure said: "Thank you so much for everyones kind words.

"This is now a police matter and am unable to comment any further but thank you everyone that has shared and sent messages.

"Sorry I can't reply to everyone but it means so much to both Shannon and I.

Officers have now launched an investigation into the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact them.

A Police Spokesperson said: "Around 1.35pm on Thursday 4 November 2021, police received a report of a dog being attacked by two other dogs in Beauly Court, Grangemouth.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
