Family broken as disgusting duo let dog brutally maul cat to death after snatching it from Dublin garden

A local not-for-profit animal organisation has issued a distressing warning after it is alleged that two people intentionally let their dog attack and kill a cat in south Dublin.

Clondalkin Animal Aid, whose hardworking volunteers tirelessly try every day to give rescue dogs and cats a better life, were alerted to the horrid news from a "concerned member of the public".

The local told the charity that a cat was snatched out of a garden in Cherrywood shortly after 8:30pm by two people.

The duo are then understood to have let their dog attack and brutally kill the cat.

She said: "The family are devastated. This is utterly disgusting and naturally any caring person would be horrified by this behaviour.

"Please be vigilant, and if anyone spots any suspicious behaviour by people around cats try to bring them to safety and inform the Gardai."
