A Newcastle family are appealing to find their brother who was last seen on Friday at his home.
Robert Kelly, 47, is from Burrendale in the town and his family say he does not usually leave the house.
His brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Saoirse, say he left his dog behind - something that is 'really out of character'.
There are becoming increasingly worried and say he uses a walking aid when out and about as he has mobility issues.
Saoirse said: "It is really strange that he would leave his dog or the flat - my partner was able to open the window and get the dog out.
"It is really out of character. We want anyone who sees Robert to please get in touch with police. He is really not fit enough to be walking anywhere and we are really worried.
Raymond added: "He needs two hip replacements so can't really leave his flat."
Robert is thought to be wearing navy denim jeans, an army coat with a pair of black boots and is around 5 ft 7 or 8.
