Family and pets have lucky escape from house fire thanks to brave Dublin Fire Brigade rescue

A family and their pets had a very lucky escape from a house fire thanks to the bravery of Dublin's firefighters.

Firefighters based in both Tallaght and Dolphin's Barn stations were called to a house fire in the capital overnight.

And with the help of breathing apparatus, they brought two much loved family pets to safety during the rescue operation.

There were thankfully no injuries reported as a result of the blaze,  and everyone was taken to safety.

Sharing an image of one of the pets in a breathing mask, Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Overnight firefighters from Dolphins Barn & Tallaght fire stations were called to a house fire.

"No injuries reported & 2 family pets were taken to safety by firefighters in breathing apparatus."
