Family affair at Livingston Athletic Club's Home Pentathlon

Livingston Athletic Club hosted a Sportshall Home Pentathlon to keep club members’ spirits up during lockdown.

The competition comprises of five events: a shuttle run, standing long jump, target throw, vertical jump and a speed bounce.

The Sutherlands not only took on the rest of the club but had their own family battle as well as all five members took part.

Dad Kenneth, mum Margaret and kids Daniel, Heather and Struan all competed.

Kenneth took silver in the men’s event with Daniel narrowly missing out on bronze.

In the women’s competition, Heather took silver and Margaret the bronze. A special mention for Struan who was the youngest person to take part.

Lewis MacIver and Alannah Snowden took the overall golds for the men’s and women’s
competitions.
