Furious residents in one area of Merseyside claim they have had to walk past a “dog s**t gallery” for nearly four months.
People walking down Bridle Road in Bootle have been plagued by the sight of bags of dog poo hanging on a fence since September.
One person living in the area - who did not want to be named - said she counted 22 bags pitched on the railings on Tuesday, January 14 and described it as walking past a "dog s**t gallery."
The woman said she noticed a bag of dog waste on the railings one day in September with a new one added each day.
The resident claims she personally removed the bags of poo, however every morning a new one would be added.

Speaking to the ECHO, she said: "The dog foul issue started properly in September last year.
"I noticed one day that some vile person had hung their bag of dog waste on the railings along the path.
"The next day there was another, the day after that another and so on. It got to the point where it was clearly a pattern.
"Nearly every morning during the week when I would walk past there would be a new bag hanging there.
"I had personally removed a few in the early days but it got to a point where I would just became irrationally angry about it every time I would walk past, so I would just try to look at the floor and move on.
"Why should I be the one to throw them away properly?"

The woman said she walks past the railings everyday around 7am and then again at around 5pm and says there is a new bag of dog waste either on the fence or on the floor.
She believes the "culprit" must be doing it at some before 7am or after 5pm.
She added: "It's a route that hundreds of people have to take each week to get to school, the bus stop, work and even the nursery that is right next to all of this.
"There isn't another way around and regardless - nobody should have to walk past any of that and it should never have been allowed to get into that state in the first place."
The Bootle resident claims she has reported it to Sefton Council on numerous times and her local MP but is yet to get a resolution.
She said: "Its such a small space in the grand scheme of things but it's also an extremely dirty, disgusting, unhygienic and dangerous space that has an endless list of issues and sadly it's just one of the many spaces around Sefton and Bootle that gets neglected by the council."
The woman also claims the nearest bin used to be at the end of Bridle Road near Park Lane and Hereford Drive, however she says the council removed it at some point last year.
She believes the nearest bin is now on Netherton Way near Savio Salesian College, which is around a 20 minute walk from Park Lane and Hereford Drive.

A Sefton Council spokesperson said that some dog owners are not acting responsibly and "have no regard for their community."
They added that the matters raised by the Bootle resident will be investigated.
The statement said: “Sefton is a clean, green and beautiful place to live and the cleanliness of our environment is important to us.
"These matters raised will be investigated and the necessary actions taken.
"Unfortunately some dog owners are not responsible and have no regard for their community and this includes leaving bags of dog fouling on the street or hung on fences.
"Enforcement action such as fixed penalties and possible court action can be taken against these dog owners as this is considered littering.
"Since July 2017, we have had a Public Space Protection Order across the borough which informs dog owners about certain rules which must be followed.
"For more information about these rules and to learn more about the Good Dog Code, visit www.sefton.gov.uk/thegooddogcode.”
