Families enjoy sledging in the snow at Chatelherault Country Park

Youngsters across Hamilton have been ‘sledding’ Christmas cheer after a blanket of snow covered the town.

Just as the festivities began to settle, locals woke up to masses of the white stuff on Tuesday, December 29.

It was the winter wonderland kids needed after a more subdued Christmas than ever before. And they were out in their numbers to ride the snowy hills of Chatelherault Park.

Sledges were dug out, hats, gloves and winter coats were donned – and the fun began!

The iconic beauty spot was glistening in the snow and despite near-minus temperatures, families loved getting out and showing off their cutting-sledge skills on the Hamilton slopes.

What a fantastic way to spend the Christmas holidays!
