The sun shone down on families at Calderglen Park as they enjoyed a special ‘Emergency Services Day.’
Organised by community officers from East Kilbride the free event took place at Calderglen Country Park on Saturday, August 28.
East Kilbride community cops were joined by police dogs, horses and motorbike cops, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) and Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV).
Locals were able to speak with members of the emergency services who offered advice and safety tips.
There was also games, water safety stalls, first aid training and vintage police cars.

And for those that missed out on the ‘Bike Marking’ events, officers were on hand to mark bikes with the BikeRegister QR kits.
Sergeant Jamie Madden told Lanarkshire Live : “The Emergency Services Day on Saturday was a great success.
"It was an opportunity for Police Scotland and other partners - including SFRS, SAS, South Lanarkshire Council, Scottish Police Historical Society and the wonderful staff at Calderglen Country Park - to catch the imagination of the public.

"And thankfully, they not only supported the event in unprecedented numbers, but travelled from afar to do so.
“I am pleased to say that such was the positive feedback from those in attendance that our intention would be to hold similar events in the future which will give those unable to attend an opportunity to do so.

"It was great to see so many families having a lot of fun, get their bikes marked, pick up a goodie bag and have plenty pictures taken.
"Obviously the sun shining added to the occasion and I would like to thank them for their support as well as the continued support of all our partners who without their help we wouldn’t have been able to have organised such a fantastic event.”
Our photographer John McIntyre was there on the day to capture some of the action.
