Holiday firms are slashing prices by up to 38 per cent because of Brexit .
Many families are putting off booking their summer getaways while others are avoiding trips to Europe altogether, according to TravelSupermarket.
Tour giants are now offering big discounts to lure holidaymakers worried about the effects of the UK’s delayed departure from the EU on visas, currency rates, car hire and health cover.
Travelsupermaket’s Emma Coulthurst said: “There are some incredible deals at the moment.”
While 14-night packages to long-haul destinations this summer remain similar in price to last year, summer holidays to Euro beach destinations are as much as 38 per cent cheaper than last year.
Packages next month start from as little as £115 per person for a week’s self-catering and many week-long deals are available for under £150 per head.

Seven nights’ self-catering at three star Aparthotel El Lago in Port D’Alcudia, Majorca, departing Stansted or Southend on May 1, is available from £130 per head.
And there are package holidays during the school summer holidays for under £300 per head.
Some of the best deals are in the Spanish Costas with prices down eight per cent on average on the Costa Brava and 16 per cent cheaper on the Costa Blanca.
Travelsupermarket says Majorca is 15 per cent cheaper than last year while prices in the Greek islands of Zante have been slashed by 19 per cent, and Kefalonia by 14 per cent.
Meanwhile, prices are down as much as 20 per cent in the Algarve and 32 per cent in France’s Cote D’Azur.
Other places with cut-price packages include Sardinia, down 13 per cent on average, Corfu, reduced by 12 per cent, and Skiathos and Sicily, both 11 per cent cheaper.

Travelsupermaket’s Emma said: “It’s a fact that Brexit is causing summer package holiday prices to Europe to drop.
“Some British holidaymakers say that they don’t want to book until they know the outcome of Brexit, while others say they want to avoid Europe altogether.”
Travelsupermarket looked at more than a million package holiday prices.
Travel agents’ body Abta said: “Travel pricing is very fluid.
“With the Easter break being much later this year, holidaymakers will have more options. The return to popularity of Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia is likely to have an effect on prices in other destinations so there are some good value holidays available.”
Last week easyJet blamed economic uncertainty and Brexit for expected first-half losses of £275million.
