Dozens of travellers have pitched up on the front in a picturesque seaside town - as angry locals say summer has been "ruined".
At least eight caravans have been spotted on a green in Paignton, Devon, on Monday.
One eyewitness said: "One caravan even has an inflatable dinghy outside so they are clearly planning a few days by the beach."
Torbay Council confirmed it was aware of an "unauthorised traveller encampment" that arrived on Sunday.
A statement provide to Devon Live added: "The site has been visited by an officer and necessary welfare checks completed.
"We have a strict legal process to follow before an encampment can be moved.

"We will conduct all parts of the process as swiftly as possible, but it is a legal process and this can take time."
The latest encampment comes after a group of travellers arrived on White Rock playing fields, also in Paignton, last week.
It led to locals living near the field accusing the council of not doing enough to prevent traveller groups from accessing the land.
One angry resident said: "Is it that they don’t want them to go to tourist sites and damage the local view to tourists?
"It has ruined summer for our kids."
They continued: "This is totally unbelievable that the council can remove some travellers and then instantly more arrive.
"Common sense surely tells you to secure the site rather than simply shutting the gate."

Council leader Steve Darling responded to those comments, saying that the authority has "not discriminated".
He said that when travellers arrive at sites it can be "almost like a military operation".
And he added that the council has been trying to "protect all sites equally".
