Fallow to offer £3 meal deal on UberEats

The hit restaurant Fallow is offer a £3 meal deal in collaboration with UberEats, for one day only.

Chef-owners Will Murray and Jack Croft have created an “al-desko” menu for the brand, “reimagining meal deal classics” with an upmarket twist.

The duo are stepping away from their chicken head pies and snail vindaloo flatbreads and concentrating their efforts on luxury sandwiches such as coronation lobster rolls, rotisserie chicken and ssamjang buns, cheese and onion focaccia, and a VLT – vegan BLT – sarnies.

“This isn’t about reclaiming the meal deal — we think it’s already a brilliant British staple,” said Murray and Croft.

“We wanted to honour it, put our own spin on it, and celebrate the art of lunch. We had a lot of fun creating these recipes, and we hope they bring a bit of joy to people who’ve powered through a long morning.”

Each sandwich will be available for £3 and comes with crisps and a drink to complete the meal deal look. Presumably UberEats is taking a monetary hit here for the purposes of PR.

The deal will be available in London on July 15 before moving to Manchester and Liverpool between 17-18.

Fallow is the latest high-profile outfit to team up with the delivery brand, which has worked with the likes of Ynyshir and L’Enclume.

UberEats’ Matthew Price said: “Whether it’s lunchtime on a Monday or a late-night pick-me-up at the weekend, Uber Eats is here for those moments when you’ve simply done enough.

“We want to celebrate everyday wins and make great food that little bit more accessible, whenever and wherever you need it.”

This latest partnership comes as UberEats is launching a new sandwich studio in Potters Field. Gracefully, the proceeds of every £3 purchase will go to City Harvest, a charity that works to redistribute unused food from farms, wholesalers and retailers to those in need.

Available in London via the UberEats app on July 15, ubereats.com
