Fallen tree affecting West Lothian traffic on the A71

A fallen tree is affecting traffic in West Lothian as the adverse weather takes its toll.

It is reported the tree is hanging over the west bound lane of the A71 at Wilkieston heading towards Polbeth.

Telephone wires are keeping the tree up, but the obstruction is forcing larger vehicles to use the oncoming lane to avoid it.

Motorists are urged to take care when passes and to expect traffic to be slower moving until the issue is dealt with.
