'Fallen off again' - Chris Sutton and Mark Lawrenson agree on Everton vs Crystal Palace predictions

Everton will look to end a run of three consecutive defeats this afternoon when they host Crystal Palace.

The Toffees endured a tough 10-day period in which they faced three of the top-six in Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. But the visit of Palace represents an important chance to get back to winning ways, with Frank Lampard's side just one point above the relegation zone.

In Patrick Vieira's Palace, they face a side unbeaten in three matches and climbing the table. Both of their wins in the last fortnight - against Leeds United and Wolves - saw them come from behind, and the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise will provide plenty of problems for a sturdy Blues backline.

But how do the experts think Everton will fare at Goodison Park?

Chris Sutton (BBC Sport)

"Quite a lot went on when Crystal Palace came to Goodison Park at the end of last season, when Everton came from 2-0 down to win and secure their Premier League safety, and Eagles boss Patrick Vieira had an altercation with a fan who had come on to the pitch at the final whistle.

"It is not 'all or nothing' for Frank Lampard's side this time, but they do need a good result here after three defeats on the bounce.

"This is hard to call, because Crystal Palace are a dangerous side and I am very tempted to say they will pick up a point - but I am going to back Everton to come good.

"Dominic Calvert-Lewin will still be rusty after just coming back from injury, but he might give the Toffees the edge."

Prediction: Everton 1-0 Crystal Palace

Mark Lawrenson (PaddyPower)

"Everton are not conceding many goals but they’re not scoring many either. I’ll go for them to win this though on the basis that they need to start picking up wins. They had a good run and have fallen off again but I think at home they’ll edge this."

Prediction: Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace

Patrice Evra (Betfair)

"Frank Lampard has had a difficult time with Everton of late losing the last three. When we talk about Crystal Palace, they're going to do a bit of everything - lose some games they shouldn't, surprise us with some games they should win. I'll go for a draw in this game."

Prediction: Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace
