Falkirk woman stunned to find yellow gunk coming out bath tap

A Falkirk woman was stunned to find yellow gunk coming out of her bath tap.

Carla Pollastrone, 31, of Kings Road, Grangemouth said she saw it around 10pm on Monday 31 May.

She said: “I’ve had discoloured water before but nothing that bad. It’s still the same colour now!”

Carla, who is originally from England and lives with her dog, added that her shower is still working.

She said: “It only happens when I run the cold water so if I want a bath I’ll just run the hot and let it cool down.”

Falkirk Council said that no similar incidents in the area had been reported to them.

Scottish Water said they had not received any calls either and added: "We would ask customers to report any loss of water, low water pressure and discoloured water to us to enable us to investigate asap on 0800 0778 778."

The Falkirk resident is now waiting on a plumber to arrive for a separate issue and will also show this too.
