Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies to host hugely popular walkabout theatre tours

Walkabout theatre tours have returned to the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies today.

Led by a stilt walker and ground-based performer, those who take part in Rowanbank Environmental Arts and Education's walk will learn all about the wildlife and history surrounding the Forth & Clyde Canal.

The unusual, family-friendly tours will take place throughout the day from 10.30am, last between 30 to 40 minutes and blend both the real and imaginary.

Similar walks have and are taking place throughout the month including City Breaks, an outdoor hip hop performance trail from Room 2 Manoeuvre and one with accompanied by Mark Zydalgo’s water organ.

The tours are part of Canal Encounters, a free month long celebration of the Forth & Clyde Canal as part of Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Waters 20/21.

Tickets for today’s tours are free but must be booked in advance. They are available here for the Falkirk Wheel and here for the Kelpies.
