Falkirk teacher publishes first book with sales in America and Canada

A Falkirk area teacher has had her first ever book published - with sales across America and Canada.

Lynne Barrie, who has been teaching at Langless Primary School for the past 10 years wrote the book 'Dotty & Dee', which tells the story of two dinosaur sisters with a special bond.

Dee is helping her blind sister Dotty on a journey to help her see again.

It’s a story about love and friendship that all sisters should experience, one Lynne had with her own sister Nicola.

Lynne’s second book 'The Pumpkin Patch' will be out in August this year.

She said: "I’ve been reading bedtime stories to my 7 year olds boys Ollie and Noah since they were babies.

"I've always been passionate about reading and love to see the pleasure they get from stories and how it helps to build and grow their imagination.

"I've had amazing feedback and messages about Dotty and Dee and I really hope my second book is as well received when it's published later this year."

Dotty & Dee is available on Amazon and Waterstones.
