Falkirk takeaway customer chances luck for free food but plan backfires dramatically

A cheeky takeaway customer has been caught out a belter after trying to scrounge free food from a Falkirk eatery.

Meat in the Middle were sent a message on Facebook by a man claiming that a burger was missing from his order after he popped in to collect it.

But when he told bosses that his Texas BBQ burger was nowhere to be seen - they told him they'd check CCTV cameras in the store between 5pm and 7pm on Sunday October, 31.

And it turns out that the brazen punter was chancing his luck because the shop was actually closed then, and has been for sometime due to maintenance.

Despite bosses giving him a 10-out-of-10 for effort, he clearly wasn't that impressed and decided to block the burger joint on Facebook.

It turns out that this isn't the first time Dane Chisholm has tried that trick though.

He messaged another restaurant back in March, claiming to have coronavirus and struggling to put a meal together, hoping he'd be sent some free grub.

Social media users have responded with one saying: "Outstanding s***housery."

Another wrote: "What a rid neck man, nae shame at all."

A third said: "Bet he's like the sticky bandits from Home Alone too, dipping anything he can get his hands on."

"Owned like a boss", said someone else.
