Falkirk's young people design and create mural representing 'opening curtain' on Covid-19

Young people in Falkirk have designed and created a mural representing opening the curtain on Covid-19.

It was completed by pupils undertaking the Summer Graffiti Art Project funded by the Youth Work Education Recovery Fund.

The opportunity came as a result of BraesTransitions, a collaborative programme between Braes High and Falkirk Community Learning and Development (CLD).

Braes Transitions encourages the personal and social development of young people alongside an employability programme, preparing them for life beyond school.

Falkirk CLD tweeted: "Another fantastic mural designed and created by the young people in Falkirk.

"Some beautiful imagery of opening the curtain on Covid. Brilliant job!"

Gail Johnston, Community Learning and Development Worker at Falkirk Council added: " Absolutely love it.

"What an amazing graphic demonstration of Covid restrictions easing and can only imagine how therapeutic this was for all young people involved."

Another Twitter user said: "Absolutely love this! Well done Gordon Baxter for leading such a great initiative."
