Falkirk's drop-in Covid 19 clinic opening hours extended as cases soar

Opening hours at Falkirk 's drop-in coronavirus vaccination clinic are to be extended from next week.

It comes as cases across Scotland continue to rise, with health bosses desperate to get as many people as possible across the district jabbed this month.

The hub at Forth Valley College in Falkirk will operate between 8:30am to 7:00pm from Monday July 5th until Sunday July 18th.

Anyone 18 or over can drop in for a vaccine - without an appointment needing to be booked.

Jillian Taylor, NHS Forth Valley’s Operational Lead for the Covid-19 vaccination programme, said: "Unfortunately, we are seeing an increase in cases across Scotland and, as we approach the final stages of the first Covid-19 vaccination programme, we have extended the opening hours of our local drop-in clinics to make it easier for people to attend."

All of the evidence says that the vaccines are working as we continue to battle the faster-transmitting Delta variant which is now dominant.

I would therefore encourage anyone in Forth Valley who hasn’t yet been vaccinated to take advantage of these drop-in clinics as the best route out of this pandemic is getting as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible."
