Falkirk residents given say on where money will be spent in their community

Falkirk residents are being given a say on where money will be spent via their local community.

Along with partners, Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership, Falkirk Council will be heading the initiative, Community Choices.

Community Choices is a £3 million fund that lasts over two years for local communities to bring about change in their area.

Clubs, organisations, groups and individuals from throughout Falkirk have applied to benefit from the funding and now residents are being asked to vote for which they deem most worthy.

Proposals that can be made include those that make environments fairer, healthier, more connected and inclusive.

There are two funding levels, a Small Grants Programme of up to £1,500 and a Place-based Capital Funding programme for larger projects of over £5,000.
