Falkirk residents asked for opinions on new park bench for Hurricane Trail

Falkirk residents are being asked for their opinions on a new park bench design.

The new bench is set to become a focal point of the Hurricane Trail in Inchyra Park, Grangemouth.

The design has been created by Connor Bone who was also behind the creation of two other benches in the park.

Connor, 19, who has Asperger's, had his designs commissioned by Friends Of Inchyra Park after they visited his parent's company, 'STEEL-N-TIME' and he took a special interest in the project.

The bench is the latest commission from a £50,000 collaboration with Falkirk Council to spend on further trails, a heritage area, a community meadow, wildfire meadows and further searing.

A photo of the bench posted on Facebook yesterday has been largely supported by residents so far.

Local artist Donna Forrester who has also created artwork in the park commented: "It is beautiful but with a little guidance on a possible little change!"

To share your thoughts on the project, you can visit the Friends Of Inchyra Park Facebook page here.
