Falkirk pupil's homework post to school by stranger after being lost four months ago

A Falkirk school has issued an appeal to find the stranger who found one of its pupils' work - in Edinburgh.

The work, along with a Vivienne Westwood necklace, was discovered by someone in the city's Rosefield Park after the items had gone missing four months ago.

After discovering the coloured folders, the person decided to returned the belongings to St Mungo’s High School by post.

S5 pupil, Kady Maitland, is said to be delighted at getting her belongings back - especially her necklace.

Anne-Marie Jess, who is Depute Head at the school, told Falkirk Live: "Kady's work appeared at the school over the summer holidays after being missing since the spring, the post was addressed to her Form Teacher.

"It's such a bizarre story because she also lost her schoolbag in the same park, but that was never found and also the fact that her work has been found after so long.

"Kady is very happy that she has her neckless back because it was a present from her mum.

"It would be nice if the person came forward so we could thank them."
